The new worlds’ road movie, a western in the middle of the Gobi desert, Chinese ink paintings, beyond Central Asian former complaints: in this second album, entitled « Crazy Horse » in tribute to the Indian chief, the voices are more present: they intermingle with magic in a string set to put up a cinematic album. Asia always, often with the blues’ spirit, Celtic rhythms and melodies from the Mongolian steppe. A wink to the western music with the famous Pavane pour une infante défunte written by Maurice Ravel, in an arrangement signed by Mathias Duplessy, an echo of the Asturias from the forthcoming album …

Mathias Duplessy (1972) was born in Paris. He studied classical guitar at age of six. He became professional at 18 years old. Film music composer for Indian’s film (2 nominations for best background score at the Filmfare Award) and french’s film (Vie Sauvage, L’Oranais…) and sought-after accompanist Duplessy performs year-round on the international jazz and world music scenes.

Mathias composes for guitar since he was child, many guitarist play and record his compositions like Jérémy Jouve (he dedicated an entire album to his compositions « Cavalcade »), Thibault Cauvin (Sony) or Zsofia Boros (ECM).

Mathias produced and recorded around twenty albums with many artists of the world (Mukhtyiar ALi, Ameth Male, Sophia Charai, Bevinda …)
